According to Dun & Bradstreet, one of the main reasons that businesses fail is a poorly focused and executed marketing plan or an inadequate marketing strategy! Is your marketing strategy focused on the niche markets that you serve? Have you clearly defined your benefits as they relate to your customers' needs? Do you know what your competitive advantages are over your competitors? Have you clearly defined your target audience and are you pursuing them on a consistent and ongoing basis? Can you at any point in time determine exactly what is being done to grow your business, achieve your objectives, and by whom?If the answer to any of these questions is NO, then Guerrilla Marketing will be the easiest, fastest and most cost effective way to make that answer of a resounding YES! If you are new to Guerrilla Marketing, or are not completely sure of what it is, then you may want to go the What is Guerrilla Marketing page. The 8 Million Dollar Carrot Here is a great example of having the Guerrilla Mindset. I am a consultant to the Business Solutions group of one of the telecommunications giants, and I was told this story by the director over that group. The National Accounts Manager was working on closing a large deal, and he had his Sales Manager come with him to take the prospect out to dinner. They are in a very competitive industry and everyone’s product is the same, so they need other ways to differentiate themselves. During the course of dinner as they were talking, the prospect mentioned that she had a horse and that the horse loved to eat carrots. As the dinner meeting was winding down, Darryl, the sales manager excused himself and went to the kitchen. He was able to get a doggie bag with carrots in it. He then wrote a personal note on the bag, addressing the horse by name and saying who it was from. He came back to the table and presented it to the prospect and she was floored by the gesture. All of the suddenly they had differentiated themselves by using a little time, energy and imagination. The result was an 8 Million dollar order! It is not hard to develop the guerrilla mindset; you just need to always have your antenna up, looking for your “8 million dollar carrot.” From the coming book "Guerrilla Relationship Management" |

"Doc Pratt is an awesome Guerrilla Marketing coach, I know because I have seen him in action. Doc recently assisted me in San Rafael, California, at "Guerrilla Meets Karate Master II," the Advanced Course. Doc helped me in our workshops to teach business owners from around the world how create a Guerrilla Marketing Plan and implement a comprehensive Guerrilla Marketing Attack. The four day event was absolutely incredible. Everyone had rave reviews about how much they gained from the event, and Doc Pratt proved that he is 'World Class Guerrilla Marketing Coach.'"
